K. St Vincent Welch was the first flying doctor at the Flying Doctor base in Cloncurry, north-western Queensland, which was established in August 1927. He made a flight to Julia Creek in central Queensland in May 1928, using a DH50 aircraft provided by Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd. |
