Physicist

F. F. Thonemann, together with G.E. Barlow and L. H. Cohen, developed a telemetry converter to convert computer output to graphic form for human use (1953). During the 1960s he worked at Weapons Research Establishment on the instrumental use of lasers, leading to an airborne system (WREMAPS), developed for the Division of National Mapping to measure ground profiles accurately.
