Wolfgang Hermann F. Sasse's research into the photochemical conversion and storage of solar energy was the first to lead to the identification and prevention of processes that limit the practical performance of systems for the photoreduction of water, culminating in the design of highly efficient systems that employ energy transfer for the production of hydrogen. |
