Paltridge, Garth William (1940 - )

Atmospheric scientist
Born: 24 April 1940
Garth William Paltridge was Director of the Institute of Antarctic and Southern Oceans Studies and Director of the Antarctic Cooperative Research Centre 1990-2002. He has made contributions over a wide range of atmospheric sciences including stratospheric electricity, the effect of atmosphere on plant growth and pioneering studies on the radiation properties of clouds.
