K. A. Metcalfe worked for the Munitions Supply Laboratories in Adelaide after World War II. He undertook experiments on making images with dry powders on photosensitive paper coated with zinc oxide and developing the electrostatic images from suspensions of resins and dyes in organic fluids. A flow-on from this work was the introduction of colour photocopying. |
