G. W. Hill worked on program development of the Mk 1 computer, one of the earliest of the truly automatic stored program computers and later to be known as the CSIRAC. In about 1956 he moved to the CSIRO Division of Mathematical Statistics, seconded to the CSIRAC Laboratory. He wrote The Effect of Aberrations upon the Optical Focus in 1963, with Trevor Pearcey. |
