A. C. Hatrick set up a kauri gum, copal and resin importing company which eventually merged to form Australian Chemical Holdings. First Hatrick acted as a sole importer, then in 1928 began importing resins for local paint company Beck Koller. In 1939, after an American firm bought out Koller, Rechhold Chemicals Australia was formed and began manufacturing in Australia. In 1963 the company became Australian Chemical Holdings. |
