Born: 6 December 1827 Pathhead, Fife, Scotland. Died: 22 July 1901 Strathfield, New South Wales, Australia.

William Arnott was a baker who began his Australian career baking bread and pies, but later specialised in biscuits. Arnott's biscuits are still the best known biscuit line in Australian supermarkets.
