Ansett, Reginald Myles (1909 - )

Born: 13 February 1909  Inglewood, Victoria, Australia
(Sir) Reginald Myles Ansett was involved in the transport industry, first running an interstate passenger service by car in 1931, then moving into aviation in 1936. In the late 1940s he bought the Pioneer organisation and ran a regular interstate bus service. He was an aviator, Chairman and Managing Director of Ansett Transport Industries Ltd., Ansett Airlines of Australia and its other subsidiaries. At one stage he was a Director of Diners Club Ltd., Bic (Australia) Ltd., and Associated Securities Ltd. Ansett was educated at Swinburne Technical College.
