Keith Stibbs worked for the Bureau of Meteorology for 33 years, retiring as Principal Technical Officer in 1981, specialising in aviation meteorology. He began his public service career in 1938 in the Postmaster General's department, and during the Second World War served with the AIF, 1941-1944, and in the latter stages of the war as a navigator-wireless operator with the RAAF. He joined the Bureau in 1948. |
