Gerard (Gerry) O'Mahoney joined the Bureau of Meteorology in Perth in 1940 before transferring to the RAAF Meteorological Service in 1941. After the war he returned to the Bureau and worked in Western Australia before transferring to Head Office in Melbourne to the Statistical Section. He worked mainly in the area of automatic data processing and electronic computing, becoming the Assistant Director (Computing) before leaving the Bureau in 1971. |
