James Chalmers Hood spent most of his career in the Food, Drugs and Toxicology Section of the Government Chemical Laboratories, rising to Director of the laboratories in 1955. |

Factory, Sutton Oak 1917-ca 1919, Food, Drugs and Toxicology Section, Government Chemical Laboratories (chemist, Senior Chemist, acting Supervising Chemist, Deputy Government Analyst from ca 1946, director of the laboratories from 1955). |
