Robert Farquharson Boan had a chemical consultancy practice from 1923-52. He was an expert in paint and petroleum industries and did a lot of work for the Standards Association of Australia, mainly in the paint field. |

Research worl for the Willsmere Certified Milk Company, private practice as consultant, Elsternwick, Borthwicks Pty Ltd ca 1919-23, consulting practice 1923-52. His father, R. Boan (q.v.), worked in the practice 1925-29 and 1933-36. | |
