Born: 27 November 1865 Paddington, New South Wales, Australia. Died: 1 June 1945 New South Wales. | ||
Walter Frederick Gale worked in banking and finance in New South Wales but maintained an active interest in astronomy. He built his first telescope around 1884 and formed the habit of sweeping the sky on every clear night. He discovered a number of comets and double stars. |
