Savage, Robert (1818 - 1888)

Agricultural writer and Inventor
Born: 24 March 1818  Cork, Ireland.  Died: 12 July 1888  South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Robert Savage settled in the Nangeela valley, western Victoria in 1839 and helped invent a reaping machine and stone-breaking machinery. He was the agricultural writer for the "Argus" from the late 1850s and was a member of the Land Tenure Reform League.
